Sunrise Mountain High School – Automotive Technology II

Fee: $$ 30.00$ This one-year completer course is designed for students who have successfully completed Automotive Technology I. Areas of emphasis include diagnosing and servicing modern automotive systems, safety, engine repair, automatic transmission, manual transmission, manual drive train, drive axles, clutch systems, suspension and steering, heating and air conditioning, engine performance, braking systems, and basic electrical systems. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfi lls one of the Art/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation and may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.
Prerequisites: Completion of Automotive Technology I with a B or better or Teacher Recommendation
