Summer Creek High School – Art & Entertainment Tech Dual (OnRamps)

Credit for AET 304 may be awarded by UT Austin for students who meet grading criteria. Additional fees apply with all OnRamps courses and district scholarships are available Arts and Entertainment Technologies provides first-hand experiences with digital media technology, software, and applications for use in entertainment and artistic endeavors. No prior experience with programming or design is required. Students engage with multi-disciplinary tools; build technological skills; and apply methods of design thinking to create products, applications, and experiences for specific audiences. Students engage in project-based learning to study an assortment of entertainment concepts and experiences; discover the underlying technology involved; and explore the cultural, philosophical, ethical, and practical aspects of entertainment technology. Students enrolled in OnRamps courses have an opportunity to earn a UT transcripted course grade and credit as long as they meet certain grade criteria.
