Summer Creek High School – Barbering I

This is a two-year course designed for students who would like to enter the field of Barbering. This is a state licensing program in cooperation with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Students must earn 1,000 hours in theory and practical applications in the laboratory provided. Upon the satisfactory of the hours students are expected to take the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation State Board Exam to become certified as a Barber. All Humble ISD students may be transported to take the course. All students must obtain a permit from The Texas Department of License & Regulations. This is a one-time fee and must be obtained before hours are examined. Students are also required to purchase a Barber Kit.
