Success High School – Practicum in Entrepreneurship

Students apply classroom learnings and experiences to begin and operate a business in an area of interest within their career cluster, expanding their skill sets as a real or simulated business owner versus the experiences one would have as an employee.  Practicums can be paid or unpaid arrangement.  Students will have the opportunity to earn industry certification in Entrepreneurship and Small Business. PREREQUISITE:  Two credits of any Business, Finance or Marketing courses. These skills may be developed  in business and industry experiences outside of the student’s program of study.  Students are given supervised practical application of studied knowledge and skills in the workplace. Students are eligible to include up to two Career Prep work release periods in their schedules in addition to the traditional off-campus periods: one for juniors and two for seniors. If students do not have a job by the 15th day of school or are unemployed for over 15 days at any point during the school year, they will be dropped from the course.
