Stone Bridge High – Literacy I

Multilingual learners receive explicit literacy instruction with an emphasis on phonics and phonological awareness. Programs such as System 44 and Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) are utilized to provide personalized instruction in a small group setting. This course presents students with reading comprehension skills in various genres in addition to building phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, and vocabulary. This class is concurrently taken with EL English I.
Prerequisites: This course is to be taken simultaneously with EL English I.
