Investigate formal and conceptual issues related to visual art in a creative and systematic way. Develop and enhance personal skills and techniques over time. Make informed, critical decisions based on research and desired outcomes for artworks. Employ visual elements to support and express content. Invent original approaches to studio practices and produce meaningful artworks that speak to contemporary cultural and societal issues. Compile and submit a portfolio based on College Board guidelines: Section I. Sustained Investigation – select works that demonstrate investigation and process of discovery and revision; Section II: Selected Works – select works and writing that best exhibit a syntheses of materials, processes, and ideas.
