St. James Santee Elementary-MiddleAP CAPSTONE RESEARCH

May 2026 · 2nd Semester

AP Research lets students deeply explore an academic topic, problem, or issue of interest to them. Students design, plan, and conduct a yearlong research-based investigation to address a research question, documenting their process with a portfolio. The course ends with a 4,000- to 5,000-word academic paper and a presentation with an oral defense which contributes to the overall AP Research course. There is no end-of-course exam. ![](https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1772494818/ccsdschoolscom/nhjxwbwjcdug5zgoydld/images/f29370946a02aa9d4c5680592542ff8a826cf9416bf5a6f51d88884b2a66ad77.jpg) # MATHEMATICS
