This course is designed for students withsignificant experience in theatre, and promotesdepth of engagement and lifelong appreciationfor theatre through a broad spectrum ofteacher-assigned and self-directed study andperformance. Students regularly reflect onaesthetics and issues related to and addressedthrough theatre, and create within variousaspects of theatre in ways that areprogressively more innovative. In keeping withthe rigor expected in an accelerated setting,students assemble a portfolio showcasing asignificant body of work representing personalvision and artistic growth over time; mastery oftheatre skills and techniques in one or moreareas; and evidence of significant oral andwritten analytical and problem-solving skillsbased on their structural, historical, and culturalknowledge.
