This course is a beginning level course thatfocuses on developing the basic skills andprocedures for creating elements of technicaltheatre, including costumes, lighting, makeup,properties (props), publicity, scenery, andsound. Technical knowledge of safetyprocedures and demonstrated safe operation oftheatre equipment, tools, and raw materials arecentral to success in this course. Studentsexplore and learn to analyze dramatic scripts,seeking production solutions through historical,cultural, and geographic research. Studentsalso learn the basics of st and ard conventions ofdesign presentation and documentation.
