This is a course for students with little or limitedexperience in musical theatre that focuses on,but is not limited to, acting, vocal performance,dance, non-dance movement, and staging,which transfer readily to performances inmusicals and other venues. Students surveythe evolution of music through a humanitiesapproach and representative literature. Musictheatre students explore the unique staging andtechnical dem and s of musicals in contrast tonon-musical plays. Public performances mayserve as a culmination of specific instructionalgoals.
