The purpose of this course is to enable studentsto expand on skills taught in Leadership Education and Training 1. This courseintroduces the concepts of equal opportunity,fair treatment of minorities, and prevention ofsexual harassment. It provides instruction onleadership skills, leadership theories, as well asthe basic principles of managements. Itprovides self-assessments that help studentsdetermine their skill sets and opportunities toteach using accepted principles and methods ofinstruction. It emphasizes community projectsto assist in drug prevention efforts. It alsoincludes dietary guidelines, fitness, and mapreading and orienteering skills. It discusses thesignificant events that helped shape anddevelop the Constitution and government andteachers the role of political parties in theelection process.
