Thisyear-long, intermediate-level course,designed for students who demonstrateproficiencyin woodwind, brass and/orpercussion techniques, music literacy, criticallistening/aural skills, and ensembleperformance skills, promotes greaterengagement with and appreciation for musicthrough performance and other experienceswith a broad spectrum of music, as well ascreativity throughcomposition and/orarranging. Study includes cultivation of well-developed instrumental ensemble techniquesand skills, music literacy and theory, anddeeper aesthetic engagement with a widevariety of high-quality repertoire.Admission is by teacher approval.
