This introductory course welcomes students with little or no prior music experience into the world of modern music-making. Students explore popular genres and learn foundational skills in rhythm, melody, harmony, and digital music production. Using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), students engage in basic recording, sequencing, and mixing. They also begin composing simple rhythmic ideas and performing in unison or two-part arrangements. Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, students build musical literacy, creativity, and confidence while learning how music connects to culture, history, and personal expression.
