South Technical Academy – Electronics & Robotics Year One

Exploring the complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and robotic components used in manufacturing and industry is the goal of this course. Students will also design and program robots for the annual FIRST Robotics Competition using modern equipment and techniques. Includes ISCET online curriculum.
Prerequisites: Passed all math courses attempted, of which .5 credits are in algebra or geometry. Algebra strongly recommended. Minimum Core Needed: 5 (After 1st Semester Sophomore Year), 6.5 (After 2nd Semester Sophomore Year), 8 (After 1st Semester Junior Year). Minimum Total Credits Needed: 9 (After 1st Semester Sophomore Year), 12 (After 2nd Semester Sophomore Year), 15 (After 1st Semester Junior Year).
