South Technical Academy – Early Childhood Education Year One

Students become teachers in our certified preschools as they research, create, and implement lesson plans while learning effective preschool teaching techniques. Upon graduation, students will have a portfolio of work to present to colleges and/or employers along with early childhood certifications.
Prerequisites: Students must demonstrate their ability to maintain positive behavior without any physical altercations noted in their school record or any other school documentation. Minimum Core Needed: 5 after 1st semester Sophomore year; 6.5 after 2nd semester Sophomore year; 8 after 1st semester Junior year. Minimum Total Credits Needed: 9 after 1st semester Sophomore year; 12 after 2nd semester Sophomore year; 15 after 1st semester Junior year.
