South Technical Academy – Construction Innovations

Students customize a year or semester of construction exploration to match their interests by choosing from various quarter-long courses that offer a solid foundation of basic knowledge and experience. The Construction Innovations program allows students to rotate through a variety of courses introducing them to all of our construction offerings. They will use a variety of powered and non-powered tools and equipment. Includes: Carpentry, Construction Trades, Electrical Trades, Floor Layers Middle Apprenticeship, Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning, Masonry & Equipment Operations and General Construction Trades, Kitchen & Bath Systems, Welding.
Prerequisites: Minimum Core Needed: 5 credits after 1st semester Sophomore year; 6.5 credits after 2nd semester Sophomore year; 8 credits after 1st semester Junior year. Minimum Total Credits Needed: 9 credits after 1st semester Sophomore year; 12 credits after 2nd semester Sophomore year; 15 credits after 1st semester Junior year.
