South River High – Honors Apex Arts Visual Arts Studio 1

\[FY\] 1.0/sem Students will strengthen and refine their artistic abilities and observational capabilities. Students will be provided opportunities to experiment in a variety of media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital imaging. Emphasis will be placed on rigorous development of skills, especially design and composition concepts. Included will be experiences in working with artists in residence and museum resources. Sketchbooks and Visual Journals will be required to record ideas, research, and to document their step by step discovery process. This course is available only at Annapolis High School.
