Solorio Academy High School – Introduction to Engineering Design
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Students will learn how modern engineers design, build, and test new technologies from an idea to finished product. In particular, students will utilize the “engineering design process” to develop solutions to problems while learning how to communicate ideas through writing, technical drawings, and 3-D modeling software. Students will work in teams to apply this proven problem-solving approach to hands-on engineering design projects. Additionally, students unfamiliar with engineering will be exposed to a variety of career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.
