Solorio Academy High School – CS 118: IT Problem Solving

IT Problem Solving is a rigorous, engaging, college-level computing course that explores many of the big, foundational ideas of computing and how these concepts are transforming the world we live in. Students learn to apply computer science to solve problems through the development of algorithms and apps. They incorporate abstraction into programs and use data to discover new knowledge. Students also explain how computing innovations and computing systems—including the internet—work, explore their potential impacts, and contribute to a computing culture that is collaborative and ethical. Students will take the AP Computer Science Principles exam at the end of the course for a chance to earn college credit.
