Classifications: IB, Pathway Option Prerequisite: 4 semesters of visual art classes Open to: 11, 12 Credits: 2 FW (1-year program) The IB Visual Arts program is designed to provide students with various art interests the opportunity to develop their aesthetic, imaginative, and creative faculties in a global context. This program emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and exposure to various viewpoints. Students center their artistic development around a Research Workbook, a personal record of their development and evolution as an artist. From this record, students find original inspiration and explore media to create a fully developed body of work. This course is one of the course choices required for the Art Concentrator Pathway.
