Smoky Row Elementary School – INTRODUCTION TO TWO-DIMENSIONAL ART (L)

Students will experiment with a variety of media, techniques, and design concepts in order to determine future direction in the visual arts. Drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media, and relief sculpture will be explored. Students will be introduced to the elements and principles of design, art history, and art criticism. This course is recommended for beginning visual art students. Students will be required to purchase some art supplies in addition to the course fee. This course is one of the course choices required for the Art Concentrator Pathway.
