This course provides an overview of engineering and engineering technology and includes the development of problem-solving skills used to solve real-world engineering problems. The course of study includes: Overview & Perspective of Engineering, Design Process, Communication & Documentation, Engineering Systems & Manufacturing Processes, Materials & Materials Testing, Thermodynamics, Engineering for Quality & Reliability, and Dynamics. Available at North County, Chesapeake Science Point, Crofton, Glen Burnie, Meade, Severna Park and South River High Schools only. Can be used for Basic Technology credit but cannot be used again toward a CTE completer. Recommended: Algebra 1
