Students will be introduced to Geographic Information system (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) technology to study their local and regional communities. This course is open to all students and is the foundation of the STARS Entry-Level GIS Technician Certification. Available at Meade High School only. X32 \| Honors Geographic Information Systems 2 0.5sem This MSDE approved course will help the student learn the skills required to work on and/or build a Geographic Information Systems/ Remote Sensing project. Students and teachers will follow a course of hands-on instructions to learn skills ranging from introductory digital mapping to image analysis.
