This course is for students with extensiveexperience in art and is a bridge betweenregular art and college level courses. Studentswork in a self-directed environment to developa portfolio showing a body of their own workthat visually explores a particular artisticconcern, articulated and supported by awritten artist's statement. Artists may work in,but are not limited to, content in drawing,painting, printmaking, mixed media, traditionalphotography, digital photography, and/or newmedia and emerging technologies thatdemonstrate understandingof designprinciples as applied to a 2-dimensionalsurface.
