Sanders-Clyde Elementary – LATIN 1

This course introduces Latin language fundamentals and Greco-Roman culture with an emphasis on key communication skills, including reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Elementary Latin vocabulary and grammar build a foundation for reading simple Latin stories and gaining insight into the English language and the impact of Greco-Roman art, history, culture, and mythology on the modern world. Language learning is facilitated through projects, presentations, class discussions and technology based activities.
