San Diego Metro Career and Technical – Learning Through Internships/Interests (LTI)

A personalized teaching and learning process where students are placed with mentors in real-world internships two days per week. Students collaborate with their mentor and teacher to plan an in-depth real-world project centered on a minimum of three learning goals derived from the school's five learning objectives. Academic projects are worked on at the internship site, during school days, and as extended learning at home.
Prerequisites: Placement is determined by the student's college and career interests as well as specific workplace criteria or prerequisites
