Salem High School – Web Design and Internet

This is an introductory course covering the basic concepts, techniques, and issues related to designing, developing, and maintaining a website. We will study the elements and principles that separate exceptional websites from those that are poorly designed. Students will learn how to create professional looking websites by using HTML, JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The student’s understanding and creativity will be extended and evaluated through a variety of projects and simulation scenarios. In addition, Adobe Dreamweaver CC software will be used to provide additional design tools needed to create high quality, dynamic, and interactive web pages. This course PLUS Photoshop qualifies for second-year World Language credit
