Round Rock High School – American Sign Language ASL II

In ASL II, the main emphasis is on expressive skills (signing) while developing receptive skills (understanding signing). Students will be guided in recognizing the interrelationships of language and will develop a cultural appreciation for the Deaf community. The expected outcome of this course is to develop Novice-High to Intermediate-Low proficiency. This course is conducted in ASL (without voice) for a significant amount of time. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of American Sign Language (ASL) level I or demonstrated equivalent proficiency as determined by the district.
