Roosevelt High School – Ceramics Beginning

This beginning course is for students who want to work with their hands and develop ideas in 3-dimensional form. Students work with clay, creating both functional and nonfunctional art pieces. Students learn the properties of clay, construction, glazing techniques, and the firing process as core concepts of this course. Students learn about ceramic arts and artists from a variety of contemporary and historical sources and across cultures. All students are welcome.
