Sociology introduces students to the study of human behavior in society. This course provides an overview of sociology, generally including (but not limited to) topics such as social institutions and norms, socialization and social change, and the relationships among individuals and groups in society. Counseling Notes: Sociology is recommended for all students interested in better understanding society. The course may be particularly beneficial for students interested in careers in law enforcement, criminal justice, health care, and family services. This course is open to both seniors and juniors, but seniors have priority in scheduling.
