Sculpture courses focus on creating three-dimensional works. Students typically work with several media (such as clay, ceramics, wood, metals, textiles, and so on), but at times may focus on only one medium. Students are given the opportunity to develop skills in 3-dimensional sculptural design concepts and techniques. Students will explore architecture, narrative work, portraiture, and working with the form. History of sculpture and its cultural influence will be studied. Materials can include: Found objects; Paper; Cardboard; Wire; Plaster; Wood; Clay. S - materials investigation T - creativity and innovation, critical thinking, solving art problems E - three-dimensional design process M - measurement and dimension Counseling Notes: 1. A materials fee for all students is required. The fee is currently $25.00 and covers basic materials and equipment.
