The purpose of this course is to expose students to more in depth fashion design and merchandising concepts. Concepts include: career paths, advanced textiles, design skills, merchandising, fashion equipment, sewing, pressing techniques, and construction projects. Students will hone their skills through a variety of sample exercises and techniques. Students will gain confidence and be prepared for future advanced sewing, draping, and pattern making.
