Catering I- .5 credit Catering II- .5 credit CATERING I and CATERING II This two semester program is designed for students with career interests in the food industry as well as owning their own catering business. The purpose of this course is to develop skills in quantity, food preparation, safety and sanitation, planning, customer service, business plans and entrepreneurship. Counseling Notes: 1. Students will be required to pay a $35.00 lab fee per semester. 2. Students must pass Culinary Essentials I and Culinary Essentials II with a C or better to be enrolled in Catering. 3. Students may earn 1.0 credit for every 250 hours of documented, paid job/internship experience. Students may earn up to 1.0 Work Based Learning credits per school year. Students must pass the course in order to receive the optional work credit. 4. Students may not be enrolled in and /or receive job/internship credit for more than one WBL class at a time.
