Humanities I GT is a course that provides students receiving giftedservices with opportunities not available through on-level oradvanced classes. This course combines Honors English I with APWorld History, starting a two-year interdisciplinary spiral. Thecontent is a historical study of the commonalities of the fine arts,including literature, the visual arts, architecture, and music.Humanities I focuses on the period up to the Renaissance.Students will learn and practice the craft of writing throughvarious products, including AP style writing. Literature from avariety of world traditions will also be a key focus.Completion of this course fulfills the English I graduationrequirement. Students should not enroll concurrently in English I.Humanities does not fulfill the fine arts requirement forgraduation.
