This introductory course provides a comprehensive survey of the fundamentals of art. Through hands-on practice, students will develop a foundational understanding of the visual arts and their creative potential. Students will learn and apply the Elements of Art and Principles of Design as they create original works of art. Students will be introduced to significant historical periods and artists, providing a rich cultural and contextual understanding about the world of art. This course is an excellent starting point for students to build a strong artistic foundation and explore their creativity. Art supplies and fees may be required.
