Studio Art I moves beyond an introductory course, challenging students to apply the Elements of Art and Principles of Design with greater intention and technical skill. This course is designed to develop a student's artistic voice and prepare them for advanced high school art courses. Students will be introduced to significant historical periods and artists, providing a rich cultural and contextual understanding about the world of art. Studio Art I is for rigorous studio practice, critical analysis, and the pursuit of a personal artistic vision. Art supplies and fees may be required.
