Prairie Trace Elementary School – ADVANCED ACTING 1-2 (L)

Students enrolled in Advanced Acting will research, create, and perform characters through script analysis, observation, collaboration, and rehearsal. Activities include producing original scenes for the Red Ribbon Players and exploring the skills of a director. These activities should incorporate elements of theatre history, culture, analysis, response, creative process, and integrated studies. Advanced Acting students are required to prepare and audition for at least two Carmel High School productions. In addition, they are expected to develop leadership skills and are encouraged to take an active role in extracurricular productions, both as performers and technicians. They are required to attend all Carmel High School productions performed during the course and write play reviews accordingly.
Prerequisites: Advanced Theatre Arts 1-2 and audition
