During my time spent serving as a volunteer tutor during both my high school and undergraduate years, I was able to help many students increase their knowledge of History, English Literature, and Grammar. I find that if students feel they are listened to and heard, this allows them to feel encouraged. I believe that a solid education is a gateway to making informed decisions throughout life, and I am passionate about helping students access that. For the past 11 years, I've had the pleasure of working with students of all agesfrom as young as 3 to over 50both online and in classrooms, as a tutor and teacher. My experiences span across diverse subjects and learning environments, which has equipped me with the ability to adapt my teaching to the individual needs of each student. My academic background is interdisciplinary, drawing from political science, sociology, history, anthropology, and human rights law. I tutor a wide range of subjects, including English (in many forms such as EFL), art history, political science, social sciences, Latin American history, and writing. Two of my favorite areas to teach are EFL and history. I enjoy teaching EFL because language learning can open doors to new opportunities and cultural understanding, while history and political science are deeply connected to my career in human rights advocacy.
