Maximum Enrollment: 20 This course builds on the skills learned in the first two courses. Students will learn about solid-state devices including setting up, operating power supplies, oscilloscopes and function generators for solid-state devices. They will also learn about various analog circuits including using test equipment to measure and analyze. CTE Advanced Studies - Honors (S) Grade: 12 Prerequisite: Two technical credits in TTEIE, one being a concentrator course The Advanced Studies course must augment the content concentrator course. Students work under the guidance of a teacher with expertise in the specific area in collaboration with community members, business representatives, and other school-based personnel. The four parts of the course include writing a research paper, producing a product, developing a portfolio, and delivering a presentation.
