This course introduces students to the field of engineering and engineering technology through a hands-on project-based curriculum. Students are presented with real-world engineering problems to see how math, science and technology are used in engineering/manufacturing processes, and technology systems. Students will see firsthand how engineering can benefit mankind as well as social and political consequences of technological change. Instruction covers civil, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering. Students use equipment that includes computers, measuring instruments, and drafting equipment.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Design 1,2 (P); Principles of Engineering 1,2 (P); Integrated Math I A-B (P); Integrated Math II A-B (P)
