Plant High School – Philharmonic Orchestra
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Qualified students will obtain the opportunity to perform in an advanced orchestra ensemble through this course. These musicians will be instructed using the application of musicianship and technical skills through the study of varied orchestral literature. During the time of this course, students will continue developing their tone, balance, blend and tuning through the study and performance of many different orchestral literatures. Public performances are extensive, and some after-school rehearsals are required. Activity fees and uniform purchase are required. May be taken as Orchestra I, II, III, or IV depending on student’s number of years enrolled in High School Orchestra. Juniors and seniors may take Orchestra V/VI for honors credit.
