Plant High School – Debate III Honors
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
This course elevated and complex instruction in the use of effective language and organizational skills when preparing, delivering, and evaluating arguments and debates. Students will participate in and evaluate a series of debates on increasingly rigorous topics and texts so that they can hone their skills of effectively and logically persuading audiences. Students will also learn the classical debate methods used by college and university classes and teams. Upperclassmen who are interested in joining the competitive speech and debate team or who are interested in careers in areas such as sales, journalism, or law may consider this an excellent complement.
