Plant High School – Advanced Placement Art Drawing Portfolio

The AP Studio Art Drawing Portfolio is designed for the accelerated student who excels in drawing, painting, and other 2D media with an emphasis on skill, technique, process, and mark making as well as conceptual development of a theme or idea gained through inquiry. The threepart portfolio consists of Sustained Investigation (15 slides showing practice, experimentation, and revision), Written Evidence (2 Paragraph Artist Statement Summarizing important concepts and skills developed by the student through inquiry), and Selected Works (5 slides of exemplary work emerging from the Sustained Investigation) for College Board review with the potential for college credit. Cost varies.
Prerequisites: Minimum of one full year of 2D art and teacher recommendation.
