II: 3D Honors Art I: 3D Design & Sculpture Honors allows students the opportunity to learn how to work with a large variety of materials. This course provides learning opportunities for students beyond those available in the on-level Art I class by extending the state essential knowledge and skills through a three-dimensional lens learning additive and subtractive sculpture, ceramics, and digital work. Students will utilize drawing, painting, sculpture and building techniques through the creation of three-dimensional objects. As an introductory course students practice skills, explore historical and cultural relevance, gain an understanding of creative expression and learn to respond and evaluate artwork through close observation using critical thinking.
