Pinellas Park High School – Concert Band I, II, III, IV, V, VI

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to develop technical skills on band instruments in an ensemble setting. The content will include developing performance techniques and reading musical notation. Note Band will be split into 3 separate courses: Band for Brass instruments, Band for Wind instruments, Band for Percussion. Students should indicate their choice on the request form. Orchestra I, II, III, IV, V, VI Development of fundamental music skills, appropriate tone production and performance techniques on orchestral instruments. The content will include the knowledge of basic rhythmic values and meters and identification of simple musical terms.
