Pershing High School – Health Care Occupations I

This initial course focuses on fundamental knowledge and clinical skills necessary for various occupations in the healthcare field. Students will build a foundation of basic patient care skills and an understanding of health care systems, communication, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, legal and ethical issues, safety, and infection control principles. Career related activities, projects, and work-based learning experiences are included, where possible.
