Pershing High School – Essentials Career Preparation (Ps)

This course is designed to help students realize the importance of education, recognize personal strengths and build self-esteem, while learning a career planning process. Students continue to explore career pathways and begin focusing on 2-3 specific pathways gaining knowledge about the expectations, skills, training and education required by those careers. Topics also include but are not limited to: completing job applications, resume writing, interviewing skills, soft skills training, career exploration, paychecks, banking, budgeting and self-advocacy.
