A daily Afro-centric class rooted in intentional affirmation and heritage. Part of a curriculum with an Afrocentric focus designed to push academic development and strengthen cultural awareness.

Course covering Phonics, Writing, Cursive, and Small Group Reading Skill building. Students receive two blocks of literacy daily plus two additional opportunities for targeted support during the week.

Core mathematics instruction focused on grade-level standards and math fluency, including the review of math facts. Utilizes the Eureka Math curriculum.

A scheduled period for student transition and creative activities.

Monthly sessions where students brainstorm solutions to real-world questions and design artifacts to demonstrate learning. Focused on project-based learning and field experiences.

Students identify community problems and learn how to create apps to solve them.

Monthly experiential learning aligned with a Question of the Month to explore community organizations, leaders, colleges, and careers.
