The purpose of this course is to give students an understanding of three-dimensional art methods, media, techniques and craftsmanship. The content includes production and appreciation of original 3-D art forms; perception and response to design qualities; the value of design in 3-D art; the production of individual sculpture and 3-D art statements; understanding the history of tradition and contemporary 3-D art and relationship of arts to the cultures in which they are found.
