Parrish Community High School – Outdoor Ed / Basketball

In this course, outdoor education students will learn a variety of outdoor recreational activities that can maintain or improve their health and fitness. Outdoor activities may include orienteering, boater safety (boating license), ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, tennis, wiffle ball, basketball, and capture the flag. The content will also include consumer issues and fitness activities. Attendance, dressing out, class participation, and exams will determine students’ grades. The purpose of the basketball course is to acquire in-depth knowledge and the application of skills, techniques, strategies, rules, and safety practices necessary to participate in basketball.
